We’ve had so many visitors delighted by the changes in Rainbow Beach! Many of our recent guests haven’t seen Rainbow for a long time, and they are amazed at the progress in town. They are also booking return holidays with us, so they can come back for a longer stay, and discover more.
What to look out for? Firstly markets are growing and now on the second Saturday of the month at the hall, and there is live music most Friday nights at the Sports Club. Depending on how long it has been for you, you’ll spot a new streetscape with rainbow benches, and a little more parking, a new wing at the Surf Club, and fencing and rainbow steps to take a photo on. There are upgraded facilities at Bullock Point and Carlo Point, a new Ambulance building (and Fire and SES Station in progress now), new eateries either end of town – the pub, too, if it has really been a while since you’ve seen us. Finally, you’ll see the Sports Club bottle shop and reno, our Community Hall, even new outdoor showers at the beach!
From today – there will be more renovations to follow: as the Surf Club builds their new deck. The new extension will seat 130 patrons, and take in those beautiful views to Double Island Point. We stopped in for a schnitty meal deal (2 for $22) last week and we can definitely recommend it! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for reno updates.
Our local newspaper, the Community News has a brand new Food, Drink and Dine Guide to make choosing and booking your meals out easy! There is also an updated guide with 20 Must Do and Sees on our coast – most are free. So tick off the ones you have “done” and add a list for what you still have to experience for the first time here in our beautiful backyard.
Josh Arnold from Small Town Culture visited town to create a school song, so look out that footage too! By the way, holidays are almost here – April 2-18, although the Easter long weekend is heavily booked, we do have some vacancies across the holidays, here and there – but I don’t think they will last for long!
