Paddle with them on a kayak, watch them from Double Island Point Lighthouse on a Surf and Sand Safari Tour or from a lookout in town. We only have them pass by for a few more months, so book in now.
Across the road a bit at Ed’s Beach Bakery (the bakery at the Shell Service Station) – you could choose one of their famous pies, but I highly recommend a custom made corn beef and salad sandwich – with mayo and pickles! Their salad bar is so fresh, and the corn beef is REAL corn beef, like you make at home. Plus they give you the larger restaurant slices – it’s huge!
Did you know Carlo Sandblow is the number 1 attraction for all the Gympie Region? And now wonder, it is magnificent – you can’t but be wowed by this natural wonder and views to boot. People still visit Rainbow and neglect this gem, don’t let it be you!
Sunset at Carlo Point
Watch the sun sink over the ocean, with the silhouette of fishers and boats coming into shore. It’s a 3km bike ride or walk. There’s always plenty of parks. Bring a beverage and relax as the day ends.
Take a Gym Class
We do have our gym onsite, but again – just across the road you can attend classes at the Rainbow Beach Fitness Centre – including Hiit, Pump and more. They offer class passes, give it a try when you’re here.
