That means it is the perfect time to visit! We’ve just had a guest on the kayaking tour that helped save a humpback whale. It’s fin was entangled in a rope. Did you see it in the news? Ty from Epic Ocean Adventures shared photos with us – you can see it on our Facebook page. And yes, all reports say the whale survived.
We had a blast at the Fishing Classic. Every night we watched the fish weigh in, and waited for the draws. Both boys learnt tips off the BCF crew on the Kid’s day and each carried a shirt full of lures and fishy gear and even fish necklaces home. Plus our “kid” (11) also won a prize bag for their catch – drawn randomly each night. Our “cadet” (only 13 years old) made the final draw down on the very last night and brought home spectacular prizes. We all had a fun week.
Coming up are some huge events in September – the Rainbow Beach Spring Festival (3rd), school holidays start on the 17th (I know, again!) and the Tin Can Bay Seafood Festival on the 24th.
