Just 25 minutes from Rainbow Beach, there was plenty of parking and the small entry fee was donated to Angelflight. Well worth the visit. Draughthorses on courses, ploughing, butter churning, corn grinding, wood chopping and “horse shoeing” were some of things our clan saw on the day. Ancient engines and tractors were also of interest. There were plenty of stalls to negotiate and we had our pick of damper or face painting. The animal nursery was a hit with all of the 6 kids we had with us: feeding goats, patting sheep and ponies, holding chooks but the huge drawcard were the cuddly pups. And no we didn’t bring any home with us.

As Rainbow Beach is totally locked in by National Park or sea, it was a treat just to be on a farm – let alone see all that was displayed. They were delighted with some freebies handed out to the crowd. Since it was the cousin’s last day with us we listened to the pleas and dropped into Seary’s creek once more.
