Nachos at the Surf Club. It is a huge serve – we shared it between two – that and the spectacular view. If you are here on a Friday night, make your way there for some local atmosphere and the raffles!
- Yummy wraps at Rainbow Beach Fruit – lamb souvlaki is my choice. Pick up any fruit and vege here too.
- Now this is a tough one. Do I like the lamb pizza or the crumbed mushrooms most at Arcobaleno on the Beach? Actually their cheesy dip with a cob loaf is mouth watering and the pumpkin ravioli at Arcobaleno is excellent too…
- The Sea Salt @ Rainbow burger – love their mustardy sauce, tasty pattie and lots of salad.
- Our pub is always popular for a steak, you can eat out on the deck or inside, and have a game of pool whilst you are there.
- Fish and chips? Visit Sandy at Ocean Breeze Seafood, easy one minute walking distance. And it is caught locally.
- Café Jilarty’s curry – their chicken Thai curry is quite a surprise. Made to owner Jay’s recipe – it is a keeper.
- Coffee Rocks make a delish chicken parmy. They have dinner specials most nights and live music.
- And my favourite salad in town is the Thai Beef Salad at the Sports Club. Watch out for those chilis!
- But not least, Creme de la Creme icecream. Choc mint or Mango are my ‘go-tos’, but our daughter who works there, so an expert in ice-cream rates the chocolate!
The new season has new menus everywhere, remember families are back to school – so a good time for a meal out (and a holiday) in Rainbow Beach. Enjoy!
