There’s lots more to do in Rainbow Beach and our surrounds. Immerse yourself in nature, more than half of the options cost next to nothing. This holiday, get the kids back to basics – to enjoying their surrounds and learning about their environment as well as being active. Come and join us!

  1. Visit beautiful Tin Can Bay – get there early and feed the dolphins, bring scooters and bikes for the beautiful esplanade pathways and do stop at the fabulous playground opposite the library.
  2. Fish at Inskip Point.
  3. Make the most of the local markets – on most weekends (see the visitor guide in the paper for days).
  4. Have a fun time at the heated aquatic centre – in holidays there are supervised sessions for kids – so Mum and Dad can enjoy an uninterrupted drink at the bar! Ask about their squads and sessions (adults are welcome too!)
  5. Buy some local prawns and seafood and prepare for a feast!
  6. Fish and Chips on the headland.
  7. Ask us about day trips to Gympie and Maryborough – you can see a Mining Museum, historical streets, waterfalls and rock pools…
  8. Workshops in Gympie’s Art Gallery – they cater to different ages with all sorts of art to create.
  9. Learn to surf at the longest wave on the East Coast.
  10. Paddle with the dolphins – and whales!
  11. Tennis, anyone? Courts are just across the road from us.
  12. Pop on the Manta Ray ferry to Fraser Island – just because! Have a wander or even a picnic and return when you are ready. Then you can say you went overseas for your holiday!
  13. Watch another sun set at Carlo Point, spot pelicans, fish and at low tide kids can run on the mudflats. Also a great distance for a bike ride.
  14. 4WD to Double Island Point, The Lighthouse or Freshwater – take a picnic. Spot dolphins, turtles and whales in the right season!
  15. Take the Gympie Heritage Trail:
