Bring the Romance to your Valentine February 1, 2011
Everyone loves to be appreciated on Valentine’s day. It doesn’t need to be extragant or over the top (but by all means if that is your plan…go right ahead). The traditional dinner or Flowers is a safe bet but it is the little things that count the most – letting your someone know that you love them and why, enjoying a quiet romantic night alone, a massage, or a moonlight walk on the beach a favourite meal cooked especially for you…
In Rainbow beach there are plenty of options to show your partner love and attention:
Watch the sun sink down together. Champagne and Carlo Sandblow. Beautiful. Another magic sunset is from Carlo Point, enjoy the sunset special at the Thai Rim Talay Restaurant.
Perhaps a sunrise? and a romantic meander on the beach. Carlo Sandblow is also the place to capture the day’s first light.
Linger over a lazy breakfast – or savour the new cafes and eateries in town – you can even enjoy live music for a long Sunday lunch.
Massage? Day Spa? Always a winner of a present (or you could DIY!)
Extreme Romance? Skydive/Paraglide/Hanglide dates with a difference. For adrenalin seeking romantics only.
Picnic anyone? See our providore if you don’t want to put one together yourself, and then take your pick: coloured sands, bush tracks, hire a dinghy or canoe or Inskip Point. “Sundaze” music on a Sunday at Norman Point, Tin Can Bay. A picnic blanket, book or fishing rod perhaps? In Rainbow Beach, you may not even see another soul when you venture back to nature with your beloved.
Still have the kids in tow? That’s fine, Rainbow is a perfect place for all to enjoy. Take a family walk on the beach, you and yours can still enjoy the moonlight while the kids race around Mudlo rocks or scoot up the sand. You’ll love the kid’s room at the Pub. Your can sit just outside it on the verandah – enjoy a drink together or a meal , knowing the kids are happy. At the Getaway you can do the same by the pool or BBQ areas watching the kid’s play.
Of course, you can do all of this or nothing. Just shore up in your apartment overlooking beautiful landscaped gardens and tranquil bushland. Ask for a suite with a spa. With fully self contained accommodation, you can get away from it all….
