Welcome to THE BLOG
Paddle with whales on a kayak, watch them from Double Island Pt Lighthouse on a Surf and Sand Safari Tour or from a lookout in town. We only have them pass by for a few more months, so book in now. Across the road a bit at Ed’s Beach Bakery (the bakery at the Shell Service Station) – you could choose one of their famous pies, but I highly recommend a custom made corn beef
Are you short on time – looking for a couple of long lazy days on the beach – or getting the kids away from the school routine and get out for a weekend of adventure? Experience a fabulous 4WD tour on the Great Beach Drive, scuba, swim, surf or just relax. You are only a five minute walk to patrolled beaches, there’s clubs & restaurants amd the iconic coloured sands.
We are letting you know about these now, so you can plan ahead – and book not only your tickets, but also your apartment. These are sure to be busy weekends on the coast. March 16 Chisel Revived – tribute show at the Tin Can Bay Country Club. Cold Chisel classics followed by Jimmy Barnes favourites, so you can rock the night away.
It’s the month of love! February is a perfect time to visit! One – there’s hardly anyone visiting Rainbow, and two – it is still summer. You can soak up the sunshine and relax on the sand, surf or horseride together or learn on a tour or 4WD or trek in some of Queensland’s most pristine National Parks. If you walk to Poona Lake, it is likely you’ll have it all to yourselves!
Rainbow Beach Headland lights up with pine trees, there’s live music at the Surf Club with much loved local, Joel Mak. Don’t miss the Great Christmas Toy Raffle, there’s big prizes and Family Karaoke at the Rainbow Beach Sports Club.
Rainbow Beach doesn’t generally host any specific events for Schoolies, however, there will still be plenty on. Friday night there are raffles at the Surf Club, live music at the pub, barefoot bowls at the Sports Club, music in Tin Can Bay and Silky Oak Tavern. The gym is holding free gym sessions and try yoga on the beach.
